Lyric templates are still being tested and only appear where lyric captions are switched on, which today is our test build. We haven't yet checked the captions against hand-typed lyrics, so the odd word can be wrong. Please tell us when one is.
A lyric template burns your song's lyrics into the finished video, in the template's colours and position, sized to your video's shape.
The lyric templates
| Template | What the words do |
|---|---|
| Word-by-word lyric | Each word lights up as it's sung, karaoke style. |
| Bold-centre lyric | Big words in the middle of the frame. |
A style you borrow from a video with on-screen lyrics can do the same: the words follow that video's look.
Make one
Pick a lyric template in the gallery (see Templates), add your song and press Start. The rest of the flow is the same, and the words are added when the video renders.
Good to know
- Nothing extra is charged for the captions.
- Songs with no vocals skip the captions.
- The lyrics come from your song. A clear vocal gives the best timing.
