Style from a videoBeta
Borrow the look of any music video you love. Paste a YouTube link or upload a clip, and Melodious writes its style recipe into your brief.

Love how a video looks? Give Melodious the video and it writes down its style recipe: the cut rhythm, the transitions, the light, the colour palette, the kinds of shots and the hook. Then it directs a brand-new video for your song in that style.
The footage, the people and the music in the video you give it are never used.
Borrow a style
Open Style from a video
Press + then Style from a video.
Give it the video
Either paste a YouTube link and press Study this video, or upload a video file.
Wait a moment
"Studying the style…" shows on a chip while it watches. Start waits until it's done.
Check the recipe
The chip changes to Style: and the style's name. Tap it to open the recipe, and switch off any part you don't want.
Add your song and start
A song and a style are enough; typing is optional. Press Start and the brief is filled in from the recipe.

Good to know
- One style video per project. Adding another asks to replace the first.
- Your past styles are kept under the Yours tab of Templates, ready to use again.
- It costs no credits to study a video.
- Videos with on-screen text work too. Their words are never used as your lyrics.
