Create Your First Video

Step 1: Sign up and sign in

Create an account at melodious.ai using your email. New accounts start with 600 free credits, enough for one 30-second video.

Step 2: Upload your song

Click the + button and select Song. Supported formats: MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC (up to 50MB).

The AI automatically detects the tempo, energy sections, and lyrics.

Step 3: Add reference photos (optional)

Click + then Photos to upload images. You can add:

• Character photos (up to 4) so you appear in the video with consistent likeness
• Style references (up to 10) like album art or mood boards to guide the visual style

Step 4: Describe your vision

Type what you want. For example: "A cinematic music video with dramatic rain scenes at night". Be specific about mood, setting, and style.

Step 5: Choose duration and pacing

The AI presents options based on your song length:

• Duration: Clip (30s), Standard (~60s), Extended (~2 min), or Full song
• Pacing: Slow & cinematic, Balanced, or Fast cuts

Free accounts can create 30-second clips. Longer videos require a paid plan.

Step 6: Review the storyboard

The AI creates a storyboard synced to your song. Each scene has a time window, description, and visual prompt. You can:

• Edit any scene's title or prompt
• Regenerate individual keyframes by hovering and clicking the refresh icon
• Add or remove scenes

Step 7: Generate images

Click Generate Images to create keyframe images for each scene (30-60 seconds). Review them before video generation. This costs approximately 8% of the total credits.

Step 8: Generate videos and export

Click Generate Videos to create video clips for each scene. They merge with your audio into a final music video. The full process takes 3-10 minutes depending on video length.

Click Export to download your finished music video.
