Every video starts with a song. The director plans the shots around its sections and cuts them to its beat, so this is the one thing Melodious can't start without.
Add it
Open the + menu
On your dashboard, press + at the left of the box. Or press the dashed Add your song button.
Upload or choose
Upload a song opens your files. With the box focused, ⌘ U (Ctrl U on Windows) does the same. Choose a song lists Your songs, the ones you've used before, and Try a demo.
Let it listen
"Listening to your track…" shows while Melodious works out the tempo and the sections. Then your song sits above the box as a player you can scrub, with its sections as chips that jump to that part.

Start stays off until a song is attached, and says so: "A song first, then send". To swap the song, remove it with the × on its card and add another.
Clear sections make better videos
The director plans one moment per section of your song. A track with a clear verse, chorus and drop gives it more to work with. Our guide on preparing your song has more.
