The brief and "Decide for me"Beta
How the brief works. The director asks only the few questions that would change your video, and "Decide for me" answers the rest.
Last updated
After you press Start, the director reads your words, your song and your photos, and writes a short brief. It asks only what it can't work out and what would change the video: who or what is on screen and how they look, the place, the camera, the light and colour, what happens on the beat, the story.
The brief costs no credits.
Answer the questions
Each question is written for your project. "A dog dancing in a tree" is asked what the dog looks like and what kind of tree it is, not a generic "who's on screen".
- Pick an answer. Options are plain choices: cards, chips, your song's sections or your own photos. Nothing is selected until you choose.
- Use your own words. Press Your own… and type it.
- Use a photo. Where a character, a place or a look fits, pick one you've saved or upload a new one.
- Skip anything. Whatever you skip, the director decides.
Three ways to finish
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Decide for me | The director fills in everything you skipped. |
| Ask me follow-up questions | Another round, built on what you picked. |
| Submit brief | Done. The director writes the concept. |
Say it in the box first
The more you say when you press Start, the fewer questions you get. One specific sentence about the place, the light and the person beats a paragraph of adjectives. See Writing a brief that works.
