Approvals
How the studio asks before it spends. The approval card for the storyboard, the video and each change, what is metered without a card, and the Approvals setting.

The big steps cost real money to make, so the studio asks first.
The approval card
Drawing the storyboard, making the video, and every change after that (a redraw or a re-film) appear as a card with a title and the exact price. Tap it to go ahead. The card then shows it was approved and what was spent, and it can't be used twice.
To change the step first, type in the box under the card (Tell me what to change...). The director works it in and shows a new card with the new price. Typing a change is just a message; it does not spend the card.
You are never charged more than the card showed. If the price would change before you tap, you are shown the new price instead.
What is metered without a card
Ideas, the plan and your messages to the director use a few credits each, as you go, with no card. Starting credits on a new account cover them for 7 days. See How credits work.
The Approvals setting
The shield button under the chat box sets how the studio asks:
- Ask before spending (the default): every spend shows a card with the price first.
- Don't ask, just do it: changes go ahead and show a receipt. The big steps (the storyboard and the video) still ask in words and wait for your reply, and only a clear yes spends.
Don't ask is for paid plans. On starting credits, the studio always asks.
