WAV to MP4
Put a WAV mixdown under a moving visual and get a video file. Pick the file, pick a look, record. It runs on your device.
Your file never leaves your browser — the visual is rendered and recorded on your device.

How to convert a WAV to an MP4
To convert WAV to MP4, load the WAV above, choose a visual and press Record video. The page plays the file, draws a moving visual to a canvas as it plays, and your browser records canvas and audio together into one video. The download button appears when the track ends. Everything happens on your device, so an unreleased master is not sent anywhere.
The recording is real time. A browser captures animation as it plays and cannot skip ahead, so the wait equals the length of the track, and the tab must stay open and visible. If you have a long session bounce, trim it to the section you want before loading it.
Why a WAV needs converting at all
A WAV is raw PCM audio. It is the format a DAW bounces to and a mastering engineer delivers, and it is large for exactly that reason: about 10.6 MB per minute at CD quality. It has no video track, so YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook will not take it as a post. They want a video file, even if the picture is a waveform.
That is the job here. The tool adds a video track that moves with the sound and packages it with the audio. It is not a replacement for delivering your WAV to a distributor, which should always be the original file.
What you get
One video file at 1280 by 720 and 30 frames per second, with your audio and a bars, waveform or radial visual in one of four colour schemes. The container is MP4 where your browser records MP4, otherwise WebM, and the file name says which. No watermark, and the only limit is a 100 MB input file.
You do not get lossless audio in the video, a still image under the track, or a vertical frame. The canvas is 16:9, so for Reels or TikTok crop it in an editor, or use the radial style, which sits in the middle of the frame and survives a crop.
Next steps for the track
If you are still deciding the shape of the release, the song structure planner and the guide to making a music video for your song cover what to do after the mix. For a quick, honest take on visual-only uploads, music video vs music visualizer is the one to read.
When the song should have scenes, characters and a story, the AI music video generator turns the same WAV into a storyboarded video. It is paid, from $19/month, and you see the cost before anything renders.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert WAV to MP4?
Choose your WAV with the button above, pick a style and colours, and press Record video. The tool plays the file, draws a moving visual and records both into one video. Press Download when the track ends. It records in real time, so a three-minute WAV takes three minutes.
Can I put my WAV over a still image?
Not here. This tool draws a moving visual, in three styles, rather than holding one picture. If a single image over the audio is all you need, a basic video editor does it in a minute, and we say so rather than pretend otherwise. If you want scenes that move with the song, that is what the paid music video maker does.
Will the output be MP4 or WebM?
The tool asks your browser for MP4 first. Safari records MP4, and recent versions of Chrome can too. If the browser cannot, you get a WebM, and the file is named .webm so there is no confusion. YouTube takes WebM. For Instagram and TikTok, re-encode a WebM in HandBrake or FFmpeg.
Is the audio quality kept?
Not exactly. A WAV is uncompressed, and the video's audio track is compressed (AAC in MP4, Opus in WebM). At sensible bitrates that is fine for a preview or an upload, but it is not a lossless copy, and a mastered release should be delivered to distributors as the WAV itself. Treat the video as the shareable version.
How long a WAV can I use?
The limit is 100 MB per file. A CD-quality stereo WAV (44.1 kHz, 16-bit) is about 10.6 MB a minute, so that is a little over nine minutes. A 24-bit 48 kHz stereo bounce is about 17 MB a minute, around five and a half minutes. Longer files need a shorter section bounced out of your DAW first.
Does my WAV get uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser decodes and plays the file locally, and the video is built on your device. That matters for unreleased masters. You can confirm in the network tab, or go offline after the page has loaded.
Why not just convert with FFmpeg or my DAW?
If you have FFmpeg or a DAW that exports video, use them: they are faster than real time and give you more control. This page is for the other case, a machine where you cannot install anything or a quick preview where opening a project would take longer than the song.
A waveform over a WAV is a start. Want the real video?
Attach the master and describe what you want. An AI director storyboards it scene by scene and renders it to your audio. Plans from $19/month.
